Khokar Paathshaala, an inspiring initiative of the Subarna Bhumi Foundation, has been transforming the lives of underprivileged children since 2021. Started in honour of the late Mr. Imam Uddin Ahmed (Khoka), the school began with just 12 children and today supports 55 students, with 24 already integrated into mainstream schools. It provides a safe, nurturing environment where children receive education, extracurricular opportunities, and nutritious meals twice a day—allowing them to grow with dignity, confidence, and hope.

As Zonta begins the 16 Days of Activism, our first day of advocacy takes place at Khokar Paathshaala. This visit reflects Zonta’s deep commitment to education, empowerment, and ensuring that every child—especially girls—has the opportunity to learn, dream, and thrive. By standing with these children, we reinforce our mission to build a safer, more equitable society free from violence and discrimination.

25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, marks the beginning of the global 16 Days campaign. It highlights the urgent need to protect women and girls, raise awareness of gender-based violence, and advocate for justice, safety, and equality worldwide.
